We don’t leave any part of care out of scope (education, nutrition, bodily mechanics) — we treat you as a WHOLE person. We believe in “continuity of care” and don’t commonly reassign doulas (unless requested by our client). I support families during the transitional period after birth/ upon returning home with a newborn. I’m here to teach you all you need to know about your new little one, help take some day to day tasks off your to-do list or simply care for baby while you get some much needed rest! We will talk about your goals and concerns to develop a postpartum plan unique for you. The first birth I ever witnessed was in 2000 at the age of 13 and I was hooked!
Pregnancy, Birth, & Postpartum
The doulas work as a team, and you can be rest assured that your well-being and needs are our number one priority. Each of the Charlotte Doulas has been hand-selected, so you can feel confident in the doulas on our team. They have completed the accredited curriculum and are prepared to provide judgement-free support to you and your family. One of the greatest benefits of our team approach is that we utilize an on-call schedule to make certain that one of your doulas is always rested, ready and available to you when you’re ready to birth your baby.
I'm a medical professional & an experienced Birth doula
Watching my baby sister enter this world changed my world in all the right ways. Eventually, the birth of my oldest child in 2010 inspired me, even more, to follow my calling of birth work and in 2011, I began my journey as a doula with DONA! After the birth of my two younger children in 2015 and 2016, I began to actively support clients in their desired birth space, full time. I am a strong believer in birthers, babies, and the inherent wisdom and instinctual capabilities within all of us to give birth in the way that suits us best. This means that no matter how you decide to give birth, I will be by your side, supporting you through your journey.
Client Love
Prior to raising my family, I worked in marketing for almost 10 years at The Charlotte Observer, The Gaston Gazette and The Winston-Salem Journal. I attended Phillips Academy in Andover, MA and then earned a degree in business from Wake Forest University. I studied Japanese and Spanish in college and doula for families in English and Spanish. Since starting doula work, my hope for our community has become much clearer. My hope is to use all my training, experience, and passion to help you throughout this new journey.
Education Center
It’s my honor to walk alongside you using my hands-on approach of providing exceptional, unbiased, and personalized support before, during, and after birth. I also equip you with evidence-based information and empower you to advocate for all that you desire regarding your fertility, pregnancy, and childbirth journey. My husband and I have five children who have been born in both hospital and home settings.

Meet our Doulas
I am a wife and mother of three with over 10 years of experience in educating and supporting mothers in breastfeeding, childbirth, and nutrition. I am a La Leche League Leader, ToLabor Professional Trained Doula, and Birth Photographer. I want to walk beside you throughout your journey and share the knowledge that will provide you with a confident, empowered, and instinctual birthing experience you desire and deserve as a mother. I believe a positive experience with birth starts with preparation in the prenatal period and continues with support throughout postpartum.

We have experience with plus size birth, VBAC, VBA2C, VBA3C, multiples, C-Section, medicated and unmedicated births. I also have experience with elimination communication or infant potty learning. Her professional knowledge and experience in early childhood education, professional training in postpartum care and support, makes her the perfect person for you to have by your side after bringing home your baby. My journey to a career in birth work began with my own births, each of which was very different and special in its own way. I have learned along the way that pregnancy, birth, and the journey into motherhood are life changing experiences.
When my parents raised me to follow my dreams, I did so quite literally. Since childhood I have had a keen interest in all things maternal, frequently dreaming of pregnancy and birth. After college, I made a list of all the things that I wanted to see and do in my life.
